Concert Newsletter

Even though spring is weeks away,
it is mating time for many creatures.

Bocats breed between January and May.
Their dens are located in rock crevices,
hollow logs and trees, or beneath deadfalls
.

In Connecticut barred owls court in February
and March and you are most likely to hear them calling in these months
.

Barred owls nest in tree cavities and usually lay
3 to 4 eggs. The eggs take about a month to hatch and both parents care for the young.
Young owls begin to fly in 3 to 4 months.

What are you seeing in your neighborhood?
Send us your photos to post on our site.

Next time it snows,
check for tracks and
find out who shares your yard.
